Wow what a party!

We launched Arts Mentoring on Saturday with a big party in Notting Hill and it was a blast!   Loads of friends and supporters turned up to celebrate our launch and enjoyed a fabulous evening of entertainment and and good fun.

Our amazing entertainers were all wonderful and we thank them so much for their time and their talent  They were, in order of appearance:

The Parlour Room, Ian Gray, Rebecca Poole, Nina Conti and Monk, Tiger Lilly and China our compere.

We had great food and drink served by the lovely staff from Sands Catering and a big raffle with great prizes generously donated by many generous businesses and artists.

What’s next?  A rest!  We’re then working on how to get our first artist out to Cura orphanage, probably in September so watch this space for  more information about that.

And thanks to everyone who came and supported us and if you couldn’t make it  don’t worry,  we’re planning more events!

It’s nearly Saturday!

Hi everyone – very excited about the party. A few nuts and bolts details:

• doors open 7pm
• acts will be on by 8.30 so make sure you are there in good time not to miss them!
• it’ll be finished by 11pm so make it an early one to enjoy the party
• and, it you’ve not been able to get your ticket in advance – please come with cash!

Just 4 days to go!!

The party is really shaping up and our performers are looking forward to meeting all the guests on 5th June.   They are Twittering and Facebooking about it and creating quite a buzz!

Our fabulous line up (in no particular order as it’s so hard to chose!) is:

Rebecca Poole, Tiger Lilly, Nina Conti and Monk, The Parlour Room and Ian Gray doing his magic!

We’ve got drinks and canapes and some truly lovely raffle items for you to win.   Our venue is the beautiful 20th Century Theatre on Westbourne Grove which is one of Notting Hill’s genuine hidden treasures.

Don’t forget, Arts Mentoring is a great cause and needs your support. We are sending artists and performers to work with disadvantaged children around the world – to bring them joy and new experiences.  If you can’t come on the night, please do send us a donation using the donate button on the Buying Your Ticket page.

Roll on 5th June for the big launch party!

We’re getting very excited about our fundraising launch party on 5th June with new acts coming through!  It’s really shaping up nicely and we’ll keep you updated as they come through.

We’ve got the wonderfully talented Rebecca Poole  singing and Tiger Lilly has just confirmed!  More news soon….

What’s Artsmentoring?

Artsmentoring is a new charity and here’s our mission:

•    To set up and run a mentoring programme to bring the skills and enthusiasm of those involved in all areas of the arts to children around the world, and in the UK, whose circumstances have limited their own chance to grow artistically
•  Mentoring is at the core of our mission but we will support ‘basic needs’ if our projects need additional help.

Our launch party will be on 5th June 2010 so watch out for more information soon!
