We launched Arts Mentoring on Saturday with a big party in Notting Hill and it was a blast! Loads of friends and supporters turned up to celebrate our launch and enjoyed a fabulous evening of entertainment and and good fun.
Our amazing entertainers were all wonderful and we thank them so much for their time and their talent They were, in order of appearance:
The Parlour Room, Ian Gray, Rebecca Poole, Nina Conti and Monk, Tiger Lilly and China our compere.
We had great food and drink served by the lovely staff from Sands Catering and a big raffle with great prizes generously donated by many generous businesses and artists.
What’s next? A rest! We’re then working on how to get our first artist out to Cura orphanage, probably in September so watch this space for more information about that.
And thanks to everyone who came and supported us and if you couldn’t make it don’t worry, we’re planning more events!

Artsmentoring is a new charity and here’s our mission:
- To set up and run a mentoring programme to bring the skills and enthusiasm of those involved in all areas of the arts to children around the world, and in the UK, whose circumstances have limited their own chance to grow artistically
- Mentoring is at the core of our mission but we will support ‘basic needs’ if our projects need additional help.
Our launch party will be on 5th June 2010 so watch out for more information soon!
